Hurricane and Emergency Evacuation Buses in Florida

Plan Before The Storm.

Full-size motorcoaches that move residents, students, guests and staff together, with room for luggage and supplies, a restroom on board and a dispatch team that answers around the clock.

Emergency Planning

What an Evacuation Needs From a Bus Company

When an evacuation order comes, the hard part is rarely finding one bus. It is moving a whole facility together, on slow highways, with everything people need for several days away from home. Jet Set Line runs over 30 full-size European motorcoaches, each seating 56 to 60 passengers, so a group can travel on several coaches that leave and arrive together. Under-floor bays carry luggage, medication bins and supplies, and every coach has an onboard restroom for long, stop-and-go drives.

We have operated from Orlando since 1987, family-owned and now in our second generation. Maintenance is done in-house at our own Orlando facility, which has three workshop bays, and we keep a second base in Miami. Dispatch works 24/7, every driver holds a commercial driver's license, and select coaches carry a wheelchair lift on request. Tell us early about residents, students or guests with mobility needs, so the plan accounts for them from the start.

Built for Moving People Together

  • Full-Size Coaches, 56 to 60 Seats

Each coach seats 56 to 60 passengers. Larger groups travel on several coaches, so a building, a residence hall or a resort's staff can move as one group, with one plan and one point of contact.

  • Room for What People Bring

Under-floor luggage bays hold suitcases, bedding, medical supplies and boxed records, while overhead racks keep personal items close. Nobody has to choose between a seat and the bag they packed.

  • Restrooms for Long Drives

Evacuation traffic can turn a short trip into a long day. Every coach has an onboard restroom, climate control and reclining seats, which matters for older residents, young children and anyone who needs rest.

  • Safety Credentials You Can Document

A Satisfactory FMCSA safety rating after a January 2025 federal compliance review, USDOT 478281 and MC-261862, $5 million in liability insurance on file with FMCSA, and actively monitored onboard camera systems.

Plan Your Evacuation Transportation Before Storm Season

Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and the time to plan transportation is before it starts. Send us your head counts, pickup sites, destinations and any mobility needs, along with the names of the people who will make the call to move. Together we work out how many coaches the plan takes, where they load, what goes in the luggage bays and how wheelchair users board.

Keep the plan current. Let us know when your census, building layout or destination changes, and share a contact list for the people on your side who can authorize a move at any hour. Coach availability during a declared emergency depends on demand, road conditions and safety, so we cannot promise a set number of coaches on a given day. A plan agreed in advance gives your organization the clearest starting point.

Questions

Common Questions

Do you provide buses for hurricane evacuations?

Yes. Jet Set Line provides motorcoaches for hurricane and emergency evacuations. Availability during a storm depends on demand, road conditions and safety, so we encourage organizations to contact us before the season to plan head counts, pickup sites and destinations. A plan made in advance is much easier to put in motion.

Can you move residents who use wheelchairs?

Select coaches have a wheelchair lift, available on request. Lift-equipped coaches are limited, so tell us early how many residents use wheelchairs or other mobility devices, and whether they can transfer to a seat. That lets us plan which coaches go where and how boarding will work at each pickup site.

Should we arrange transportation before storm season?

Yes. Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and when a storm approaches, many organizations need coaches at the same time. Planning ahead lets us understand your head counts, pickup sites, mobility needs and destinations early, so your request starts from a plan instead of a blank page.

How many people can you move?

Each coach carries 56 to 60 passengers, and larger groups travel on several coaches together. How many coaches we can commit depends on your plan, the timing and the conditions when the move happens. Share your head counts by site, and we will tell you how many coaches your plan needs.

Who do we contact in an emergency?

Call our dispatch line at (407) 649-6599. Dispatch answers 24/7. For planning before the season, you can also write to sales@jetsetusa.com with your head counts, pickup sites and destinations, and our team will work through the plan with you.
